Description
I have a French, Eastlake style parlor chair that I aim to restore and make a better fit for my desk.
ADDING HEIGHT: Adding 2-3 inches in height would work. This could be done with small wooden additions to the legs, adding castors, and stuffing the upholstery with thicker, firmer padding. Or, if someone can remove the old legs, I'll happily provide new, longer ones that you can replace them with.
RESTORING: If you have the skills and interest, I plan to restore and varnish the wood, as well as change the upholstery. I would also supply all the materials for this.
I'm ready to move forward with this project right away, so let me know what is possible as soon as possible. Reply with a quick background on your experience in restoration and repair, your suggestions on what work you could do, and an estimate of the cost. Thanks!
