Description
Hello. :-) I'm a 60-ish man, coming up to Westchester next week to visit my 90-ish Mom. She has asked me to remove some old junk of mine from her home, to haul back to where I live out of state. I don't have a great back or neck, and while my Mom still thinks she is Superwoman, she's not. So I'd like to hire someone hourly to provide some help. There may also be some work helping to organize the place (I'm not sure what kind of shape it's in).
For her sense of safety, and for my own as well, I'd like to hire one or two people who are currently paid, "active duty" police or firefighters. The amount of lifting involved should be trivial for anyone, male or female, in those professions. (And candidly, my Mom might be more comfortable with a woman, but all genders are welcome to make contact.) Proposed fee is some reasonable hourly fee to be discussed. Obviously, you'd need to be off duty at the time. This would be later afternoon or early evening, and might span two days during the week. Most likely day(s) would be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday or next week (26th through 29th).
Please reach out, send a phone number and e-mail address; and before I'd hire you, I'd need some reasonable way to verify you are actually with the police or fire department. Does not have to be Yonkers, but you probably want to be from nearby (Scarsdale, Tuckahoe, Bronx or Bronxville, White Plains, something like that).
Please send both a phone number and an e-mail address. I don’t know if police/firefighters have resumes, or use LinkedIn web pages, but whatever you have to identify and validate yourself right up front (within reason) would be appreciated.
