Please join the Center for Clinical Medical Ethics for a Friday afternoon, in-person Symposium on Segregated Healthcare at NYP/Columbia.
Dr. Lawrence Brown and Dr. Robert Fullilove will address the historical context, health care policy, and cultural norms that shape where an individual receives care and by whom that care is provided. They will be followed by a panel of physicians and leaders from New York Presbyterian and Columbia Doctors including Dr. Julia Iyasere, Dr. Donna Lynne, and Davina Prabhu who will speak to ongoing efforts to desegregate care. The afternoon will close with Dr. Kamini Doobay, who will speak about segregated care across NYC and provide attendees with concrete next steps to advocate for patients on an individual level and for systemic change. We are grateful for the support and mentorship of Drs. Rafael Lantigua and Olajide Williams.
Registration is limited and will be provided on first come first serve basis. The last day for registration will be May 5th at 11:59 PM ET.
