In this workshop you will learn about the background behind journeywork
Indigenous cultures throughout the world have developed and practiced a wide variety of techniques for communicating with the world of spirits, and the use of sound and music is a common tool for entering that altered state. In this workshop you will learn about the background behind journeywork (what it is, how it works, what you can use it for), how to use a drum or rattle to journey, and how to communicate with your patronus/spirit guide. There will be some music and movement, so please dress comfortably.
You are welcomed to bring an intention and something to place on the altar if you feel so moved.
Drew studied a self-designed major centered around mythology, anthropology, and holistic health at NYU-Gallatin. He's been practicing a variety of modalities for over a decade, and is continuing his study of the healing arts. He's also a musician and graphic novel author.
