Description
Did you know:
Excess death is the difference of a CDC estimate of how many people will die in a particular year compared to the ACTUAL number that died?
Real death is reported and is a factual number (not a guess).
How a person dies is also reported (if known).
People "estimate" things all the time. They will guess if Seattle will win a Superbowl for instance.
A "fact" has nothing to do with guessing...it's like what a scoreboard looks like at the end of a game. Some are close, others are way off from their estimate. You could say an estimate only has a purpose for the estimator, while facts have purpose for everyone, including the estimator.
So, let's look at the scoreboard...
2020: 420k
2021: 420k
No one won... it's a tie.
