While this training has shown to increase the efficiency, production and safety of working with a chainsaw, it does not eliminate all hazards. NOTE: This course is taught by the same excellent instructors from Northeast Woodland Training who teach all the Game of Logging chainsaw training courses we offer. It's an excellent preparation for Level 1 for beginning chainsaw users (though you don't have to take it in order to take Level 1). DIRECTIONS: You will be meeting at The Watershed Center lands, at 4783 Plank Rd. New Haven, VT. Be aware that Google maps is the best navigating program for plugging in the address. Apple maps can lead you astray with that address (Both apps will take you to the right place if you enter "The Watershed Center".) If you don't use a navigation app, directions are as follows: From the traffic light in Bristol, follow North St. (in Bristol) for approximately ¾ mile until you reach Plank Road (on your left). Turn onto Plank Road and check odometer. You’ll remain on Plank Road through 2 intersections (Burpee Road at 0.8 miles and Sawyer Road at 1.7 miles). Plank Road will sweep to the right then make a sharp turn to the left over Norton Brook. The parking area for the Waterworks property is on the right just before that sharp turn. (Total driving distance along Plank Road from North Street in Bristol is 3.3 miles.) CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: Please note our refund policy! You may cancel your registration up one week prior to the workshop date and receive a full refund, less a $30 administrative fee. You also have the option, during that time period, to shift your registration fee to our next offering of the course for no administrative fee. If you cancel less than one week prior to the workshop, your fee is not eligible for refund, unless we have someone on the waiting list who is available to fill your space, in which case you will receive a full refund, less a $30 administrative fee (or you can shift your registration to our next offering of the course).
