You're invited to Safe Place for Youth's family-friendly Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 23rd at our Community Garden in Venice!
Join us for our Community Connections Event Series at the Safe Place for Youth (SPY) Community Garden at Beyond Baroque. The event will include a range of activities, workshops, games, and music for all ages. Tickets are free.
Activities include:Creating mosaic ceramic tiles to decorate the garden bedsPlanting seedlings in the garden Decorating terracotta pots and choosing seedlings to take home with youMindfulness workshops with SPY StaffTacos and beverages provided by TH Catering with vegan and vegetarian options availableDJ sets by Je’li Daniel, Founder of Red Light VinylIn partnership with the Department of Mental Health, our Community Connections event series offers a space to focus on community connection, art, gardening and learning. We hope you can join us!
Additional Details:All attendees must show proof of vaccination at check-in. If you are not vaccinated, masks are required unless you are under 12 y/o.
All ages welcomed.
Please wear close-toed shoes.
All activities will be outdoors so please dress accordingly and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
Bring sunscreen and your own water.
No pets allowed except leashed, easily identifiable service animals.
Limited street parking available.
About SPY: SPY's mission is to empower young people experiencing homelessness to thrive by providing lasting, community-driven solutions that address racial and social inequity. Each year, we provide 1,000 unhoused and at-risk youth with housing, case management, education and employment services, health & wellness programming, and more.
