Despite frequent opposition from church authorities, Italian nuns, such as Isabella Leonarda and Maria Xaviera Peruchona, maintained a rich musical life behind convent walls during the Baroque era. Accompanied by a chamber ensemble, BACH will present works composed and performed by convent musicians.

BACH is committed to the health and safety of our community. The BACH choir is up-to-date on COVID vaccines and sings fully masked. We ask, where possible, that audience members also be vaccinated or have a negative test before attending the concert.
