In this two-part workshop, you'll learn and practice the basics of machine sewing. In this two-part workshop, you'll learn the basics of machine sewing, from the main parts of the sewing machine to threading the needle to troubleshooting to what is bias tape and more. After this class you'll have a solid foundation to continue sewing on your own -- using your own machine or one of the studio's. Over the two sessions of this workshop, you'll practice your skills by making a quilted case for a small item or a mini quilt (a little piece of decor or a pot trivet!). In this two-part series, you will: attend two 2-hour sessions (total 4 hours) to learn and practice sewing machine basics, choose your fabrics, make your own bias tape and use it to finish your project, receive instruction in an intimate class setting with one-on-one support as needed, and leave with your finished project and the skills to plan and sew more!When you sign up for part 1, we'll email you to enroll you for part 2 on the date of your choice.
