NEW YORK CITY — Track debris, a malfunctioning door and signal problems caused delays on several subway lines Tuesday morning, according to the MTA. Six lines were under active delay as of 9 a.m., the MTA reported. The 2/3 line experienced an hours-long slowdown in both directions in Manhattan and The Bronx while MTA crews grappled with a signal malfunction at Central Park North (110th Street), the MTA tweeted. Debris on tracks between 75th Avenue and Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike in Queens caused delays in both directions for E/F/M/R trains, the MTA reported. Crews dealt with — and resolved — minor delays on other lines. A train on the F/M line was taken out of service at 34th Street-Herald Square because of a malfunctioning door, the MTA reported. And a disruptive passenger at Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum prompted MTA officials to request NYPD help, authorities said. Southbound 2/4 trains were delayed, but were back up and running by 8:40 a.m. Track all active MTA alerts here.
