NORWALK, CT — LA Fitness has temporarily closed its Norwalk gym after patrons and staff were seen inside the health club violating coronavirus protocols by not wearing masks or social distancing during exercise, writes The Hour. The gym, located on Main Avenue, posted on its website that it will be closed until 5 a.m. on Friday, but staff must first submit a coronavirus mitigation plan to the Norwalk Health Department before it will be allowed to reopen. Norwalk police and health officials ordered the temporary closure following more than one violation occurrence, which also included the health club not following the state's directive of only allowing half the number of patrons inside.
