Volunteers Needed-Taste of the World Event

The City of Kirkland will be hosting our first annual Taste of the World event! The event will take place at Juanita Beach Park North and will be a multi-cultural experience celebrating our diverse heritage. There will be multiple food trucks featuring world flavors, an international bazaar with artisan craft vendors, live cultural music and dance, photo stations, and a “small world” for children with global crafts and games. We are looking for 34 volunteers to assist us throughout the event. There will be three shifts being offered: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PMThis will include assisting in setting up the event: tents, tables, signage, and anything else before the event starts. You will also be assigned a table to help at within the Small World Kids Area.12:00 PM – 5:30 PM This shift will consist of taking over for those in the Small World Kids Area and then helping with take down after the event ends at 4:00 PM.10:30 AM – 4:00 PMDuring this shift, you will be assigned one of four things, whether it’s helping take photos/being a roamer to check in on where help is needed, assisting with parking, running the contest booth, working as a crossing guard for those parking further from the event, or being a stage hand (if you have theater background, this may be your time to shine as we may ask you to make announcements on stage throughout the day!)
