LYNNFIELD, MA — The Lynnfield Fire Department was busy the last week of February. In total, the department answered 43 emergency calls. The majority of the calls were for rescue and EMS.
Only four calls during the week of February 23 to the 29 were fire-related. Eleven of the 43 calls made were due to alarm activations or false calls. Twenty-three or more than half of all calls made that week were for rescue and EMS.
Two calls were placed for service and three were categorized as good intent, according to the department. There were six cases of simultaneous calls during the week:
Twice there were three calls at once and once there were four calls at once.
