LYNNFIELD, MA — Lynnfield's Town Common will have a new lawn by the spring. The Town Common's Fall 2019 septic replacement project has led the way for structural and aesthetic improvements. Among the improvements were granite curbing, irrigation, light posts and electrical upgrades, redesigned walkways with historic Boston City Hall pavers, and accessibility upgrades. With hardscaping completed, over an acre of sod is ready for installation. Town Engineer Charlie Richter reports that the new lawn should be established by Spring, and will be installed and maintained using organics rather than conventional chemical-based pesticides and herbicides.
