TAKING ACTION: Centre County's parent groups are organizing to hold school boards accountable to the voters and restore decency in schools. Lions for Liberty is proud to host this vital event. Parent groups have been ignored as school boards have become increasingly hostile to the values of the parents in their districts. This event is a platform for concerned parents and citizens to become informed and engaged. Our kids are increasingly subjected to agendas and propaganda that are hostile to their values, yet they often feel powerless against tyrannical administrators and officials in their school districts. An engaged and active citizenry is crucial if we are to be successful in contending for the interests of our kids. The event will start with a potluck at 1:00 for those interested in networking and getting to know other parents. If you plan to We will then kick off the program with a brief introduction to "Parents for Centre County Schools" (PCCS). From there our keynote speaker, Chuck Mason, will discuss the road ahead for those who are interested in "Restoring Parent-Led Priorities in Education". After the keynote, we will hear from parents in the following districts: State College: United for SCASDBellefonte: Win4BellefontePenns Valley: Penns Valley PatriotsPhilipsburg-Osceola ParentsBreakout groups to determine calls to action and goals This generation of students will inherit the legacy we leave - for better or worse.
