TOMS RIVER, NJ — The paving schedule for Downtown Toms River, where new water mains were installed, has been revised due to the rain and storms, Suez water company said Tuesday.
The contractor that is doing the milling and paving notified Suez of the changes Tuesday afternoon.
"Due to last week's and last night's inclement weather, Toms River crews will begin night paving within downtown Toms River tonight," said Jane Kunka, spokeswoman for Suez.
The revised schedule is as follows and is dependent on weather conditions:
Tuesday: Brooks Road, Dock Street, Maiden Lane, and Washington Street eastbound, beginning at Lexington Avenue to Main StreetWednesday: Washington Street westbound, beginning at Lexington Avenue to Main Street, and Hyers Street from Legion Court to Washington StreetThursday: Hooper Avenue, beginning at Grand Avenue to East Water StreetFriday: Robbins Street from Washington Street to East Water Street, and Allen Street from Washington Street to East Water StreetMonday: Washington Street asphalt patch (eastbound)April 26: Washington Street asphalt patch (westbound) Sign up for Patch alerts and daily newsletters here, or download our app to have breaking news alerts sent right to your phone.
