Press release from the City of Louisville: April 13, 2022 The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing, via Video Teleconference due to the COVID-19 outbreak, on an Enforceable Board Agreement with Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) and an Agreed Board Order with Planex Company, Inc. The Agreement with LG&E proposes reduced NOx emissions for the 2022 Ozone season. Planex is alleged to have violated District Regulation 5.04 - Adoption of Federal Emission Standard for Asbestos. Oral comments will be accepted at the public hearing via Video Teleconference on April 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Instructions on attending the Video Teleconference will be located at www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/docket prior to the meeting.
