Press release from the City of Louisville: April 13, 2022 The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing, via Video Teleconference due to the COVID-19 outbreak, on an Enforceable Board Agreement with Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) and an Agreed Board Order with Planex Company, Inc. The Agreement with LG&E proposes reduced NOx emissions for the 2022 Ozone season. Planex is alleged to have violated District Regulation 5.04 - Adoption of Federal Emission Standard for Asbestos. Written comments will also be accepted electronically until the same deadline via the Internet by emailing our permitting department, or on the APCD website. Oral comments will be accepted at the public hearing via Video Teleconference on April 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Instructions on attending the Video Teleconference will be located at www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/docket prior to the meeting.
