It can be used to heal yourself, your loved ones, your pets, and many other things. Even if you do not plan on practicing reiki on others, the course itself can be a deeply healing experience; many refer to reiki courses as reiki healing retreats! This beginner-level training is one of the most thorough and comprehensive available. It includes both Reiki I and is a combination of the Western style as introduced by Mrs. Takata, the Japanese style, and the Holy Fire® Energies. Upon completion of the class, you will be able to give Reiki treatments to yourself and others. You will not be able to charge for treatments with this certification (that will come after Level II) The following topics are covered: The origin and history of ReikiThe nature of Reiki energyThe Reiki IdealsThe complete hand placement systemGassho meditationKenyoku: Dry bathing, a method to purify your energy fieldPlacements for Reiki I (Attunements)In this class attunements are called Placements. Placements are done differently than attunements, but have been developed to provide more effective healing energy and to empower the symbols in a more powerful way. The Placements make use of Holy Fire® energy which is why they are more effective. The standard Usui Reiki II symbols are used and taught in this class. The class is a combination of lecture, discussion, demonstration, healing meditative experiences, and practice time. Each student experiences giving and receiving a complete treatment using the hand placement system. If you have already received a Reiki attunement previously, you will notice a difference by taking Reiki again with the Holy Fire energy added to your attunement process. Holy Fire® Holy Fire® Reiki is a newly evolved energy introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training in 2014. It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. Holy Fire® energy is noticeably more refined and comes from an even higher level of consciousness. In 2016 (Holy Fire® II) and 2018 Holy Fire® evolved yet again and this class will feature the newest version of the Holy Fire® energy released this year, currently still being called Holy Fire® III by the ICRT.
