NORWALK, CT — A 56-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on narcotics charges Monday following a four-month-long investigation into prescription drug dealing, according to Norwalk police.
Anthony Spetrino was charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance, and sale of narcotics.
Details of Spetrino's apprehension were not disclosed. Members of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division began investigating him in May.
"Officers determined that Spetrino was selling medications that were written to him and paid for by Medicaid," police said in as statement. "Officers were able to purchase Oxycodone, Clonazepam, and Suboxone from Spetrino."
Spetrino was being held in lieu of bail of $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
