Deer Park Retirement Community is searching for an experienced Housekeeper looking to join a dynamic team focused environment. We are a fully Independent Living community (no Assisted Living or Memory Care services) and we take pride in servicing our Seniors. Candidates must be able to communicate in English and provide references to verify experience. We offer flexible schedules, complimentary meals, and full benefits for full time employees. General job duties include the following: -Weekly, light apartment cleaning for residents. -Minimal laundry cleaning (mostly linens). -Common area cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, taking out trash/recylcing) MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Must be at least 18 years old or older • Prior related experience is preferred • Ability to perform housekeeping duties following sanitation and safety standards and current guidelines in a timely and efficient manner without compromising quality • Promptly communicate concerns with resident’s health and/or unsafe living conditions to management • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and politely in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff • Meets state related requirements (as applicable for position) • Ability to work in a team setting and be a positive team player • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residents • Ability to keep all business and operations information confidential • Possess excellent customer service and organizational skills • Ability to work under time constraints with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance and meeting department deadlines • May assist with disaster management efforts during evacuations • Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards • Satisfactorily pass Sunshine’s and state regulated criminal record clearance, health screening and TB clearance (if applicable)
