Tofu is a 9 year old Pomeranian who is here to remind you that senior dogs are the best! He weighs 10 lbs and has the world's softest fur. He literally feels like a stuffed animal teddy bear! Tofu was a rescue from the shelter, where he was co-housed with another dog. While in our rescue, he's met several other dogs, and while he tends to get along with the mellow, small dogs, he's not a fan of bigger dogs. He's an older gentleman and likes a chill environment/energy in his golden years! Tofu walks well on leash and doesn't need a ton of exercise. He has been fostered with two other senior dogs and enjoys just laying and sunbathing with them. He occasionally gets the zoomies and wants to play chase with one of them, but afterwards it's back to nap time! Tofu gets let out to the yard every 3 hours or so for potty breaks and sunning. He has mostly gotten the hang of pottying outside. He sleeps in a pen at night. Tofu has done amazingly with every female he has met, but he seems to be a bit afraid of men and will bark at them initially. If there are males in the home, they will need to be patient and work with him to earn his trust. Super yummy treats will go a long way towards winning him over! Tofu is very comfortable being picked up and is a good snuggler. He's looking for a home that will love and dote on him and allow him to be who he is: a low-key dog who just wants to relax with his humans. A quiet environment will be the best place for him. Tofu is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. If there are children in the home, they should be over the age of 10.
