Description

We love to help local non-profits spread the word about volunteer opportunities. Our friends at The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk will be holding training in January for Gallery Ambassadors to join their volunteer team. The Maritime Aquarium is seeking energetic people to join our Gallery Ambassador volunteer team! Gallery Ambassadors work on the floor at touch tank stations and other select exhibits helping our guests learn about our mission, animals, and conversation. Our 4-hour shifts provide flexibility to volunteer around your schedule! Our next training course will take place in January 2021! The deadline to submit an application is December 31, 2020. For position information and to submit an application click here: https://www.maritimeaquarium.org/volunteer. As a non-profit institution, The Maritime Aquarium relies on the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers. They work at Aquarium exhibits, interpreting displays, and welcoming, orienting, and educating visitors. Volunteers staff the Seal Exhibit, Touch Tank, Shark & Ray Touch Pool, and Jiggle a Jelly. In addition, the divers who plunge in among our sharks are all volunteers as well. Volunteers also work behind-the-scenes, helping out in our corporate offices, organizing sleepovers, and other special events. We encourage you to visit The Maritime Aquarium's website for more information about all of their volunteer opportunities.
