Check out our perks! • Free Food and Parking • #1 Nationally rated Healthcare facility • Culinary team that treats you like family Responsibilities: • Support the Director, Culinary Service with planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching in the Culinary Service Department. • Respond to resident likes and dislikes maintaining high resident satisfaction. Ensure that all foods are prepared to satisfaction of residents and in accordance with safe food handling practices. • Maintain food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving according to required food safety standards. • Circulate in the dining room to ascertain resident preferences and satisfaction with meals. • Maintain a clean kitchen and dining area. • Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions to assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors. • Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Requirements: • Candidates are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment. • Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors! • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum one year of experience in food service required. • Minimum three years experience in food service preferred. • Obtain Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulation). • Strong written and verbal communication skills, personnel skills, and community relations skills are essential. • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test. • Implements dietary and food service policies and procedures to meet the resident dietary needs and preferences. • Manages the dietary staff in pursuit of excellence in food and service quality and resident satisfaction. • Works with administration and all interdisciplinary terms to provide a high level of service to the residents. • Assures compliance with all regulatory standards. • Remains knowledgeable at all times with regards to Health Department codes for sanitation and food preparation. • Ensures cleanliness and safety in all dietary areas of the building. • Demonstrates proper equipment use, handling, care and safety. • If applicable, assist with ordering food, supplies, and managing invoices. Requirements: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Experience in front of house management in medium to high volume restaurant preferred (100 plus people). • Knowledge of proper cooking temperatures and critical control points in food preparation.
