Hey there! Forming gothic powerpop stoner outfit w/ shades of jangle, garage, noise, shoegaze and accidental jazz. Hopefully they’ll be “songs”at heart, kinda weird, and often have a groove. Originals. I mainly play guitar and sometimes vocals. I have new material gestating, open to collaborate, including distilling song material out of jams if it fits the vibe. Not interested in remote. After recruiting drummer and bassist, open to possibly singer/ contributing lyricist and maybe a co-guitarist or occasional synth to help fill out sound- project will be generally more guitar driven. Someone with at least backup vocal ability would be awesome.. I am not a robotic or technical player nor a fly surgeon. Seeking folks who enjoy each others company, preferably near N Seattle, can commit to rehearsing or at least “jamming” every 1-2 weeks. No extremists, flakes,drug addicts, prima donnas or practicing alcoholics. A beer and a puff is fine. Not a virtue exhibition. Please be prepared to practice material on your own as needed when we find a potential “keeper” Must have own transpo/gear and be vaxxed. I have bass amp and high-end electronic drum kit at my decently- appointed but small home space. Plan and be able to “ go in” on or share another space that accommodates your acoustic drums and full volume. **Goal is developing original songs, recording them in “ live” fashion, and hopefully play out locally every couple months. Age range like: 30-60 Some inspirations: Talking Heads, REM, VU, Deerhoof, Joy Division, Smiths, Mac Demarco, Robyn Hitchcock, Pavement, RBCF, Television, Carwyn Ellis, Devo, Dry Cleaning,Ween, even post debut Beastie Boys..
