-In every person is a child who is hidden and wants to play. Friedrich Nietzsche- They have been practicing for weeks learning terminology like coverage, down-block, pursuit angles, running plays, understanding what a zone defense is or man coverage, how to throw a pass, how to catch a pass and how to block. They are preparing the 2019 Nike bowl. The Nike bowl is a yearly event which teams North Haven's female student athletes vs Amity's female student athletes. This game is a prelude to the Thanksgiving game between North Haven high school football and Amity high school football. I've had the pleasure of being at several practices and I can truly tell you these ladies have been putting in an amazing effort to make this a successful event. These girls should be commended! Many of them play two sports and some play three sports as well as work a job and yet they still find a time to get involved, and give back to their community. I am encouraging all North Haven fans to come out and support these young ladies at 6 o'clock tomorrow night (Monday Nov.25) at Vanacore Field and cheer them on for all their hard work. The admission is five dollars to get in. The girls would love to see a packed house and they deserve it!. Best wishes to ladies. Play hard, play safe and have fun! Mark Curcio MC From the Bench
