Celebrating the Apr. 20 holiday, Allison Hamilton, franchise co-owner of the marijuana-themed sandwich shop, Cheba Hut, in Corryville, wants this party to promote the positive aspects of pot culture and dispel some of the negative stereotypes associated with cannabis consumption. Today's Block Party will be taking place on Short Vine Street between Corry and Charlton streets in Corryville from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Cincinnati CityBeat)A man is in custody after a standoff at a Cincinnati Greyhound bus station on Tuesday morning. The Cincinnati SWAT team responded to a report of a man threatening the bus station manager and implying he had a gun at the Greyhound bus station in Pendleton. SWAT officers fired a 40-mm foam round at the suspect, 41-year-old Perry Buck, after an hour-long standoff. He is charged with aggravated menacing, resisting arrest, and inducing panic, Interim Police Chief Teresa Theetge said. (The Cincinnati Enquirer)Metro and the Cincinnati Bell Connector announced on Tuesday that passengers are no longer required to wear masks. The move follows the TSA's guidelines as they drop mask mandates for riders, according to The Cincinnati Bell Connector. In a statement, Metro said, "While no longer required, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) still recommend the use of facial coverings onboard transit vehicles and while waiting at transit centers, as a measure to prevent the transmission of COVID-19."
