WOODBURY, MN — Tamarack Nature Preserve is asking Woodbury residents to help spruce up its trails this weekend in honor of Earth Day.
The Woodbury nature preserve is set to host its annual Earth Day Trail Clean-Up event from Friday morning through Sunday night. Residents do not have to register to participate in the event, but the preserve is asking them to provide their own trash bags, gloves and other supplies.
Woodbury will set up trash pickup locations near main access points to the preserve, officials said.
Courtesy of Tamarack Nature Preserve Volunteer stewards from the Tamarack Nature Preserve will be available from 9-11 a.m. Friday and Saturday to answer questions.
"If you're thinking about how to help the environment, this is a way to keep one of our region's most pristine wetlands a healthy habitat for people and the plant and animal species that live here," Tamarack Nature Preserve officials said.
