ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — A level three predatory offender is moving into St. Louis Park, the city's police force announced Friday.
Chad Miller, 43, has registered to live in the 3200 block of Aquila Lane.
Miller "engaged in sexual conduct and contact with a known male teenager," authorities said. "Conduct included engaging in sexually explicit conversations. Contact included sexual touching and penetration. Miller gained access to victim by meeting him online. Miller also possessed child pornography."
Under Minnesota's Registration Act and Community Notification Act, police can share information with the public about sex offenders who have served their sentences and are being released back into the community.
Police cannot prevent an offender who has served their sentence from living in a community.
A community notification information session will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the gym at Aquila Elementary School.
The information session will include presentations from the Minnesota Department of Corrections Risk Assessment and Community Notification Unit, and from members of the St. Louis Park Police Department.
