MINNEAPOLIS — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is investigating Lucky Charms cereal after the agency received more than 100 complaints linked to the brand. People have also posted complaints on iwaspoisoned.com, saying they came down with symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting after eating Lucky Charms. "The FDA takes seriously any reports of possible adulteration of a food that may also cause illnesses or injury," the agency said in a statement. Lucky Charm is made by General Mills Inc., a Minneapolis-based company that also makes Cheerios, Chex, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and dozens of other cereals. "Food safety is our top priority," the Lucky Charms Twitter account said. "Please send us a DM so that we can gather additional details." The company said that through its own investigation, it has "not found any evidence of consumer illness linked to the consumption of Lucky Charms." Reporting from the Associated Press was used in this story.
