MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Two runners from Mendota Heights completed the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday morning, making their 26.2-mile journey from Hopkinton to the famed Boylston Street finish line.
The 2020 Boston Marathon was postponed before being canceled, the first time the race didn't take place in its 125-year history.
The Boston Athletic Association reduced the field for the 2021 marathon in October, with less than 20,000 runners competing. The field was back to about 30,000 runners Monday.
Runners had to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus to participate.
Here's how Mendota Heights runners did in this year's Boston Marathon, according to unofficial results from the Boston Athletic Association's tracker:
Amanda Duerr, 39- 03:46:14David, Odalen, 55- 03:46:02
