Description

Press release from Hopkins Public Schools: April 18, 2022 A windy 33 degree day did not deter 50 West Junior High students from bravely jumping into the frigid waters of the polar plunge challenge mobile pool. West's Unified Club, a club that unites students of different physical and intellectual needs in friendship, organized the challenge to raise money for the student group and the Special Olympics. After meeting their $10,000 fundraising goal, Hopkins Mayor Patrick Hanlon also took the plunge with students. The donations will be used to fund field trips, speakers and experiences for kids. We're proud of these Royals for modeling kindness and inclusion in our district. This press release was produced by Hopkins Public Schools. The views expressed here are the author's own.
