The performance will be on Jul. 13 at Sculpture Park on East Beltline Avenue NE. Five for Fighting is the stage name of John Ondrasik, who is best known for his Grammy-nominated song "Superman." (Experience Grand Rapids)Governor Gretchen Whitmer met with Patrick Lyoya's parents on Monday. Lyoya was fatally shot by a Grand Rapids Police Department officer during a misdemeanor traffic stop earlier this month. The governor offered her condolences to the grieving family and described the meeting as "emotional." (WOODTV.com)Grand Rapids-based Brewery Vivant won gold at the Best of Craft Beer Awards in Oregon. The brewery's beer, Lange Wapper ale, claimed the award in the Rare and Historical Beer category.
