TUCSON, AZ — A red flag warning will go into effect in Tucson Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Along with much of the rest of Southern Arizona, Tucson is forecast to have gusty winds and extremely low humidity Tuesday. Along with an abundance of dry vegetation, these factors all contribute to a high fire danger, the weather service said. The weather service issued the red flag warning in Tucson for 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday. A red flag warning means that critical fire conditions are happening now or are expected to develop, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service said these conditions could contribute to the potential for rapid and erratic fire growth. Tucson was expected to see west winds of 15-25 mph Tuesday, with gusts up to 35 mph, and relative humidity was expected to be at 5-10 percent. The high on Tuesday was expected to be around 95 degrees with an overnight low in the upper 50s.
