Urban Bird Services is the largest, most experienced bird abatement firm in the southern U.S. We are looking to quickly train a new bird system installer to install net-screens at a secure government site in Temple, TX. Need to hire ASAP because one of our installers left unexpectedly. No bird experience needed - WILL TRAIN. Requirements: 1) This job requires very secure government background checks. Please read carefully and do not apply if you do not meet these requirements: Must have a current valid driver's license, and no felony convictions. Any misdemeanor arrests must be disclosed during interview. We must perform a thorough background check before hiring so please be honest and up front so that we don't waste any time. 2) Must be able to pass a drug test; BUT after-hours, recreational 420 is acceptable. 3) You will be working safely at heights mostly between 20' and 30' with power tools on a boom or scissor lift and under shade. If you don't think you can work comfortably and safely in an aerial lift please do not apply. 4) Must have work experience in some type of minor construction such as carpentry, electrician, plumbing, installation, HVAC, remodeling, etc. (working with tools and problem solving). We will supply further training and all tools and safety gear. 5) Must be reliable, self motivated, and be prepared to work safely but efficiently with an emphasis on details. You must be and stay in good physical and mental health. 6) Hours are usually between 7:30 and 4:30, M-F, but can vary depending on the day. 7) Must be detail oriented... pay close attention to details and instructions given by trainers and manager. These small details are the difference between job success and failure. An aerial lift Certification Card, and/or proof of OSHA 10 or 30 is preferred - so let us know if you already have them. BUT these are not mandatory to be hired and we will train if need be. This project will last 3 to 5 weeks and more projects may be available if interested. Pay is $20 - $21 per hour depending on work history, etc. Project bonuses of $500 will be paid after completion of 2 weeks, and at 4 weeks. We will pay Contract Labor; no taxes taken out.
