Practical Welding for Farmers, Artists, and the Home Shop I offer a 4 session welding class for beginners at my home shop in Northborough, MA You will Learn: - Stick welding, flux core welding and MIG welding. (Oxy-acetylene welding and TIG welding will be explained and demonstrated but not taught.) - The kinds of welding equipment and tools to get for the home or the farm. - Techniques and ideas you can use for metal fabrication and repair. You will leave with an ability to weld simple projects and make simple repairs. You will have an understanding of what is required to pursue the skill further. If you are looking to become a professional, certified welder this is NOT the class for you. Each course is 4 daytime sessions (1 per week) of 4 hours each. Classes are held at my home workshop in Northborough, MA. Due to space and equipment limitations, each course is limited to 3 participants. If you have a friend or 2 who would like to join you, we can tailor the course a bit to your interests. The cost is $325 ($300 plus a $25 material and supplies fee). A $100 deposit is required to reserve a space. Currently Scheduled Welding Classes Saturdays: May 14, 21,28, June 4 10am 'til 2:30pm (1/2 hour lunch) each day The last session includes a small project to take home.
