Hello, 52 year old guitarist looking for cover band musicians in the Salem area to form a rock/metal cover band. After years of jamming and meeting other musicians I've come to realize that everyone has their own agenda......so here is mine: I'm looking for a "bare bones" cover rock/metal band that plays heavy classic rock and hard rock/metal tunes. Some of the songs I've been working on so that you have an idea of what kinda stuff I'm playing are as follows: Rock Candy-Montrose, Paranoid-Black Sabbath, Breaking the Chains-Dokken, Living After Midnight-Judas Priest, Say What You Will-Fastway. I'm looking to play SIMPLE easy to learn songs that one guitarist can handle and are easy to sing/play live. I just want guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. Thats it. Im not looking for 2 or 3 guitarists, keyboards, background singers etc. I just want a cool, basic garage band that is good enough to play out locally. I'm not looking to be the "best" band in the area nor am I trying to impress anyone. I just want to have fun and attempt to play out. I don't want to rehearse for 10 months straight and then never play a gig. I'm looking for musicians that like the same kinda music that I do and can learn these type of simple songs quickly and easily.
