I am in search of a female pigeon. To make a long story, short, I am a registered wildlife rehabbed; I got a call about a pigeon that had been attacked by a hawk and was injured. When I picked him up, he had a broken wing and an injured eye, luckily, with some medical assistance, his wing healed wonderfully, his eye on the other hand, is completely blind. Having only 1 working eye makes him non-releasable, unfortunately. He has now come of age and has started “dancing” (iykyk) so I am taking it upon myself to find him a friend. I will NOT be allowing these 2 birds to raise their eggs, I do not have the time, space or money to allow for that currently. I will be pulling eggs. I do still want a hen though as they will likely get along better. I am open to culls, as again, I will not be allowing eggs to mature/hatch, I simply am looking for a companion, and a cull would be the closest to “rescuing” another pigeon. Please let me know who you have available. I am not interested in any specific color/breed/etc. I am looking for a female pigeon, that is preferably a cull for one reason or another.
