Cover surfaces such as windows, doors, or sidewalks to protect from splashing. Protect structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage. Clean job sites. Clean equipment or facilities. Mix mortar and plaster to desired consistency or direct workers who perform mixing. Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities. Apply coats of plaster or stucco to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using trowels, brushes, or spray guns. Apply decorative or textured finishes or coverings. Set up scaffolds. Assemble temporary equipment or structures. Cure freshly plastered surfaces. Apply decorative or textured finishes or coverings. Determine the materials needed to complete the job and place orders accordingly. Estimate materials requirements for projects. Order construction or extraction materials or equipment. Install guide wires on exterior surfaces of buildings to indicate the thickness of plaster or stucco and nail wire mesh, lath, or similar materials to the outside surface to hold stucco in place. Mark reference points on construction materials. Apply weatherproof, decorative coverings to exterior surfaces of buildings, such as by troweling or spraying on coats of stucco. Apply decorative or textured finishes or coverings. Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials, such as by drywall taping. Clean surfaces in preparation for work activities. Prepare surfaces for finishing. Create decorative textures in finish coat, using brushes or trowels, sand, pebbles, or stones. Apply decorative or textured finishes or coverings. Apply insulation to building exteriors by installing prefabricated insulation systems over existing walls or by covering the outer wall with insulation board, reinforcing mesh, and a base coat. Install insulation in equipment or structures. Rough the undercoat surface with a scratcher so the finish coat will adhere. Prepare surfaces for finishing. Spray acoustic materials or texture finish over walls or ceilings. Apply decorative or textured finishes or coverings. Mold or install ornamental plaster pieces, panels, or trim. Install trim or paneling. Fabricate parts or components. Driver's License Required. Job Type: Full-time Required education: High school or equivalent Required Carry/Lift Weight: The ability to carry and lift 75lb scaffold planks and frames to a height of 2-3 feet overhead to build scaffold and transport/load them into trucks.
