JobSource is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic in the city of Compton. - Repairs and maintains utility and mechanical machinery and all auxiliary equipment, utilities and physical plant maintenance by performing the following duties. Shift:6am Pay: $20 and up depending on experience Essential duties and responsibilities: - Follow company policies to include safety and environment procedure. - Inspect, test, adjust and repair electrical and mechanical equipment. - Installs plumbing for air, water and gas pipes. - Assist in relocation of office furniture. - Perform utility person duties when required. - Repairs or replace defective parts. - Lubricates and clean parts. - Performs and suggest improvement to planned (and other ) Maintenance activities. - Perform work requested by the Maintenance Supervisor as well as facility manager. - Perform welding, soldering, brazing and torch cutting as required. Performs and suggests improvements to planned (and other ) Maintenance activities. - Starts devices to test their performance. - Fabrication of machinery and guard. - Notifies facility manger of areas of improvement needed in maintenance department and with maintenance staff. Education: One year certification from collage or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other skills and abilities: carpentry, plumbing, Welding, Electrical, Fabrication forklift operator.
