No nonsense! Hey all, we are a 6 piece cover band called Mixed Up. Our sax player got offered a new job out of the cities so he unfortunately won't be able to jam any more, but we wish him the best of luck! So we are looking for a new sax player. We cover multiple genres ranging from pop, r and b, and classic rock. Well known songs that get people dancing. We’ll put a setlist below. We have been playing together for about 3 years and have a lot of experience from other bands. If you are learning the piano or keyboard as a second or auxiliary instrument, I'll be sure to teach to and honor the musician that you already are, while effectively addressing the skills you need as a beginning pianist. If you've reached a plateau in your playing and feel like you can go no further, or have just gone numb to the joy of playing, then together we'll clear the way so you can find yourself and your muse again. I'm Bernie. I was six years old when I first began to take piano lessons. I've experienced being a piano player from many angles, including quitting and thinking I could never learn to play the thing. Rock and Roll band needs vocals (we are open to either male or female). If you also play an instrument, that's a plus but not required. We are guitar, bass, and drums with one of us singing a few songs and some backup. Our set list could be mostly considered classic rock, but includes everything from a few 50s/60s songs up through the 90s...everything from Eddie Cochran to Stone Temple Pilots. We get together every week and our focus is on playing good music that we enjoy. This is a hobby not a job, we are not rock stars and we all have day jobs and families. We have a couple private parties planned for the summer and hope to book a few more gigs once we have vocals on board.
