LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington's Cary Library is moving back to being fully remote. The library's decision to go remote aligns with the Town Manager's decision to close all town facilities. Starting on Monday, the library will suspend all in person services, including the 'Cary Out' holds pickup service. The executive board will make a decision regarding operations beyond January 10 at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Executive Board on Jan. 6, 2021. The library is asking residents to stop by sometime between now and Saturday. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday holds pickup hours: 10:00 am to 6:00 pmAny holds that are not picked up will be extended and will be available for pickup when we are able to resume in-building servicesAll due dates will be extended to January 31, 2021 There will be no overdue fines for materials that are currently checked outBook drops will remain open but please expect significant delays with your items being checked in as staff will not be working in the building
