LEXINGTON, MA — The area's first major snow storm of the season is set to hit Wednesday night and Lexington is trying to get ahead of the cleanup by postponing trash delay. E.L. Harvey & Sons has postponed curbside collection of trash and recycling for Thursday due to the storm. This includes white goods (appliances) or TVs and computers. The town is urging residents not to put their trash out on Thursday. The rest of the week will be on a one-day delay for trash pickup. Snow will start falling across Massachusetts between 7 and 11 p.m. Wednesday, and by the time it ends midday Thursday, most parts of the state will have been blanketed with 8 to 14 inches, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Boston.
