Looking for bass player who likes Rick Danko and Duck Dunn

Description
Looking for a bass player to anchor a new group. This is a paying gig that could either be "hired gun" style or "bandmate" style depending on what you're looking for. I'm currently putting together a new lineup and bass is the last piece of the puzzle. We've got a multi-instrumentalist who is also a great bass player, but we really want him to be doing, well, multi-instrumental stuff. So we're not desperate, but we are actively looking for the right person. The sound is kind of indie rock (Spoon, Wilco) with occasional forays into white soul on the one side (Them, Joe Cocker) or sloppy Cosmic country on the other side (Doug Sahm, etc). If you think Donald "Duck" Dunn and James Jamerson are heroes and you love Rick Danko, this could be for you. If you like Bob Dylan and you think his live bands sound better than his records, this is definitely for you. Our lineup is bass (you?), drums, organ/piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, occasional horns and things. Previous incarnation of the band had some reasonable success with regular airplay on KUTX and some fairly high profile licensing placements. We'll be doing some promotion of previous records but the main focus is going to be learning and performing a few dozen new songs. We have a rehearsal space in Central Austin with a really great sounding PA (great meaning the sound of the room is controlled, you'll hear what your bandmates are playing), house amps, real piano, and a bass amp for you to plug into. We'll need to do some regular rehearsing at the outset but then probably just periodic tuneups to work on new songs once we get gigging. All the songs we're learning now have demo recordings to work off of. The goal for gigs is to be ready to play within a few months. We've got verbal commitments from ABGB's, Sam's Town Point, Black Sparrow Lounge, and a few others if you want to have an idea of where we'll start off. We'll ramp up to probably five or six gigs per month eventually. No national touring in the picture now or in the future but you should assume the occasional drive to DFW or Houston area. Last thing... this is a really fun and, for lack of a better word, nice group of people. You don't need to be outgoing, but you should enjoy playing music. If all of this sounds interesting to you, please reply with some clips of your music. And if you have video of your playing, even better! Thanks!
