HIGHLIGHTS Location: The Colony, Texas 75056 Position Type: 12 month Contract with potential to extend Hourly / Salary: $15/hour with full benefit options Our client is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their team! Job Description Our team is actively looking for a Shipping Clerk to join its growing team in Dallas. If you have experience in organizing and managing client information and enjoy helping clients receive important materials, this role might be right for you. Responsibilities: We are seeking knowledgeable and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerks to join our team! The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of Logistics and Warehouse experience, specifically in shipping and receiving. This person will be responsible for ensuring the proper client information is shipped to the correct client base. Receive all shipments, verify contents, inspect for damages and relocate to designated area Notify Procurement Specialist of damages, shortages, or overages of vendor shipments Forward supporting documentation to Inventory Control Specialist Confer with the Production Department to coordinate production orders Pick, pack and issue delivery notes for all orders Arrange shipments with carriers Coordinate returns of damaged items/goods to customers or vendors including data entry, preparation, and shipment Assist other departments with shipping needs and respond to shipping related questions Organize component shelves and ensure the Warehouse is clean and safe Assist the production department with the supply of components to be installed Other duties as requested Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent A high level of detail and accuracy Excellent organizational skills Proficient English communication skills Computer skills (MS Office, SAP, third party carrier software, i.e. FedEx and UPS) Forklift trained a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Detail oriented Ability to work some nights and weekends as needed
