FOUND Lost Dog in far North Dallas

Description

We found a dog wandering Hillcrest and Winding Rose Trail, Dallas, TX 75252 April 17, 2022. Neutered male mid-sized and middle aged dog who is well fed, not injured and appears healthy. He appears to be part Australian Shepherd. He wears a green “Kong” collar with NO TAGS and NO microchip. We are currently keeping him in our fenced yard until we can place him somewhere safe. We are hoping the owner lives in the McCallum Highlands area, as the dog was found walking north on Hillcrest to our street at Winding Rose Trail and Hillcrest. We have posted on Nextdoor.com, Pawboost, Pet Harbor, Pet FBI, Facebook, Instagram, contacted Operation Kindness, area animal hospitals, SPCA, Lost and Found websites i.e. posted numerous signs in the area, locals vets. We are keeping him now but cannot adopt him. If no owner is found, will probably have to surrender him to Animal Services Dallas. NOT a no kill shelter.
