The schism between Americans who see and know The Truth and sycophant enablers who intentionally embrace known lies continues to grow. Republicans who are originalists are almost completely silent out of fear. They are literally afraid for their lives because the fringe trumpeters are nuts! Need I say QAnon? Yeah, I have to. QAnon is a symptom of the horrible disease taking hold in our Democracy. The lack of proper education and the failure of schools to provide that proper education is the problem. It can be tracked back to republican efforts beginning during the Vietnam War. Student protests are what brought out Truth and what ended the war. Republicans began a concerted effort to lower the bar on education to create a nation of Workers instead of Thinkers. Funding has been stripped from education on both a Federal level and a local level. Republicans have taken control of local Boards of Education and changed curriculums and removed Civics and other classes that empower citizens with the knowledge of how their government works. Emphasis has been placed on Private education and particularly Christian Charter schools who push their shadow agenda. Redirection of Public Education funding to religious institutions is a direct violation of the separation of Church and State, as defined in the Constitution.
