Betty and the Breakdowns at Looking Glass Coffee Join us for Betty and the Breakdowns! All-ages. Free. In 2017, to pursue his love of Honky Tonk piano and Rockabilly, pianist/guitarist Pete Smith pulled a drum kit out of storage and began auditioning musicians in his living room. Over the next year he assembled a talented group of musicians who shared his love of the genre. In 2018 the band really began to gel with the addition of local singing sensation Betty Lou to front the band. Since then, Betty and the Breakdowns have brought their unique style and sound to the full spectrum of Rockabilly, from the classic Sun Records era to the present. Playing a fun, danceable mix of Rockabilly, Swinging and Rocking Blues and Classic Honky Tonk covers as well as some originals, they have delighted audiences around the Northwest, with their infectious fun. They are guaranteed to make you want to move your feet!
