The change in our real estate market has given me the opportunity to learn a whole lot about moving and it has most definitely not been my favorite part of the year. But I was lucky to be able to move my family into a nicer home and also have friends that helped me to do it. This was a fun time in that it was exciting to move into a whole new part of life. We moved from our inner-city apartment life to a suburban home in a really nice place. What we didn't think would make such a difference was the way we were going to move. Instead of just doing the normal things we wanted to move happily. Part of moving correctly was having the correct vehicles and also packages to move safely and easily. The first thing we did was to source the perfect vehicle to get our items from our apartment to our home safely and happily. I have moved with all kinds of vehicles and experienced lots of damaged goods and injured people all from trying to put items into vehicles they shouldn't have ever gone in. So with all of this craziness in my background, I knew that we needed an easy trailer that we could simply walk up on without having a big ramp or high angle. Steep angles and having to lift heavy things up high are the major reason thigns get damaged and people get hurt. So my main goal was to find a flatbed trailer that we could walk up into and roll a cart, on as well. My father in law ended up purchasing one and we were able to use our truck to pick it up and bring the open-top trailer with us. Since we were moving on a nice sunny day it all worked out perfectly. We were able to get all of our heavy items on board with no pain, damage, or injury. Also, any cheap moving boxes just popped right on and stored super simply. Now the next thing we did was to go and get some really nice storage containers for all of our items. This was not as bad as spending 10 bucks a plastic tub, but we found out we could get some high-end corrugated boxes and moving packages shipped to us for a low cost. I spend 50 dollars to get a whole moving package. These were not basic cheap moving boxes but heavy-duty corrugated boxes that actually held our items safely without shifting. There was no flimsy scary lifts on these corrugated packages and we didn't have any damage. We also picked up some hanger boxes and that allowed us to really change the whole move. Instead of pulling out our closet and throwing it all into boxes, we were able to get specialized boxes that allowed us to hang up all of our nice clothing without having any damage occur. This was really cool because these boxes had a hanger rod inside and we literally just moved our closet safely into an easy to cart box. I never thought it could be so easy and it was worth every single penny. So I hope these tips help you with your next move and it is successful and safe.
