Description

Join Blue Star Families of Utah for a movie matinee in honor of our exceptional military children and their families! Join us as we close out the Month of the Military Child 2022 with a special Sensory Movie Matinee for the family at the Historic Kaysville Theater. What is a Sensory Movie? For our families with children with Exceptional Needs (EFMP), we are holding a Sensory Movie option. A Sensory Friendly Movie is a special opportunity for individuals living with sensory issues, autism, or developmental delays to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for these individuals, the movie auditorium keeps the lights turned slightly up and the sound turned slightly down. Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing - the "Silence is Golden" policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is in question. 1:30 PM Showtime (Doors open at 1 PM) - Illumination's SING 2 This movie matinee will be limited to a total of 100 attendees to allow families to space out in the theatre. The Utah Chapter of Pediatric Network Resources is generously sponsoring concessions. Families will receive a voucher redeemable for a certain dollar amount. All other concessions will be the responsibility of the participants. What you need to know: These events are open to all Active duty, Guard, Reserve, and Veterans and their immediate dependents only. Strict limit of 2 adults per family.
