Here is information on Cristina, the creator of Rosa Jade Jewelry (below):
My name is Cristina.
I was born and raised in Ecuador. We are known for our handmade artesanales (creating art in limited traditional methods). I decided to start my business because of the beauty and uniqueness of Tagua jewelry. The Tagua nut grows mainly in Ecuador’s rainforests. It is known as Vegetable Ivory. It is a seed that grows on a Palm tree known as Ivory Palm. Harvested seeds, are dried, dyed, and used just like the elephant ivory. Tagua is unique and you are most likely not going to find anything like it. It is diverse, it can be shaped and colored to any desire allowing for its use to be so diverse with multiple options.
